He was predeceased by: his father Thomas Kinloch Carter of Wakulla Station; and his grandparents, Amos, Virginia Shirah Fuller of Dothan, Alabama, Cleland Nelson and Nell Jones Carter of Tallahassee.
He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth Fuller Carter of Sopchoppy, Florida; his brothers, Stephen Fuller Carter (Rebecca) of Sopchoppy and Miles Christian Carter (Amy) of Cario, Georgia.; his stepfather Morton Horn of Tallahassee; and his stepsiblings, Adam Horn (Shannon) of Tampa and Dee Horn (Monty) of Middleburg. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews and three first cousins.
