With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steven Steele of Tallahassee, Florida, who passed away on July 25, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Steven farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Steven is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his father Robert Hannum Steele. He is survived by: his wife Connie Alford Steele of Tallahassee; his children, Kara Elizabeth Vathis of Tallahassee and David Michael Steele (Erica) of Charlottesville, Virginia; his grandchildren, Emerson Steele of Charlottesville, Everett Steele of Charlottesville, Alexander Vathis of Tallahassee and Clara Vathis of Tallahassee; his mother Kathryn Chasteen Steele of Wellborn, Florida; and his siblings, Dawn Marie Steele of Wellborn, Florida and Larry Gray Steele (Gwen) of Fullerton, California.. He is also survived by aunts and uncles on both sides, numerous nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fresh Life Church (4852 Mahan Dr, Tallahassee, FL 32308). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fresh Life Church (852 Mahan Dr, Tallahassee, FL 32308). A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at the Cypress Grove Assembly of God Church Cemetery (3250 Cypress Grove Rd, Grand Ridge, FL 32442).
