It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Settler Shields in Tallahassee, Florida, who passed away on July 4, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Shields and Onzell Shields; his brothers, Richard and Joseph Shields; and his grandson Zachary M. Watrous.

He is survived by: his daughters, Gwendolyn E. Watrous of Connecticut and Melody J. Shields of Tallahassee, Florida; his grandson Joshua Watrous (Mandi); his great grandchildren, Naomi, Silas and Onyx Watrous; his brothers, Sylvester, Estral, Charles and Don Shields; his sisters-in-law, Jean, Linda, Ruth and Annette; and his significant other Jonnie Stoutamire. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
