He is survived by: his sibling Willie; his former wife Mary Ann Mckinnie; his son-in-law Gwuan Reed; his extended family Tallahassee; his wife Mary Darling; his children, Dr. Selina Darling-Reed (Gwuan) and Roderick Darling; his sister Rebecca Hartwell; his grandchildren, Sydney Simone Darling, Sarah Lena Reed and Javon Brown; his siblings-in-law, Thomas Mckinnie (Betty), Elizabeth Darling, Margie Brown and Delois Scott (Arthur); and his great-niece Vanessa Yon. He is also survived by nephews, cousins, and friends.
He attended Flipper Chapel A. M. E. church with his daughter until the Covid-19 pandemic.
