Though William may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Adkins Jr. and Lou Ann Wright Adkins. He is survived by: his girlfriend Amy Weiss; his sister Sandra Adkins Bailes (John); and his sibling's children, William John Bailes (Dinah), Robert Eric Bailes, Dan Franklin Bailes, Scott Alan Bailes (Dawna) and Cynthia Lou (David). He is also survived by 22 great-nieces and nephews.
He arranged concerts for charity events, enjoyed parties, and was one of the founders of the Winterfest.
