“Bill was 76 when he petitioned Matamoras #374 F.&A.M. for membership. He struggled to return his proficiency examinations for the three degrees, but he never gave up. When we offered him an easier way to meet the proficiency requirements, he shrugged his shoulders and said, "I'll do it the way everybody else has done it." and he did. He had the tenacity and will power to accomplish anything he decided to do. He was an asset to the lodge; he was willing to jump in and help with anything!”
