It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Watson Purkey in Tallahassee, Florida, who passed away on April 7, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Reynolds Shenk and Lacurgus Watson Shenk of Luray, Virginia.. He is survived by: his wife Imogene Hedrick Purkey; his children, Dr. William Watson Purkey, Jr. and Cynthia Purkey Norton (Jim); and his stepfather Richard Purkey. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
