Wright Cannon Finney Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wright Cannon Finney of Tallahassee, Florida, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on January 2, 2026 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Wright departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Wright. Though Wright may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Roy Pelham Finney, Jr. and Elizabeth Lanham Balboni; and his brother James Madison Lanham (Jim). He is survived by: his wife Janice; his stepmother Kay Harkness Finney; and his siblings, Joella Finney Sparkman (Joey), P. Gray Finney (Jan) and Kevin Finney (Chris). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and their spouses and children.
