Peter John John Licari Obituary

Peter J. Licari (59) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at home. Born August 2, 1963, in Oceanside L.I., New York. Peter was the son of the late Girolamo Licari and Connie Licari with whom he resided. Peter was a 1981 graduate of Cardinal Gibbons High School, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Peter is survived by his twin brother and best friend, Jerry Licari (wife, Susan); sister, Diane Yancey (husband, Clyde); sister, Linda Gruppo (husband, Carmen); and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Peter lived life to the fullest, enjoying the beach, boating, and anything related to the ocean. To fulfill his passion, Peter recently completed his Maritime Professional Training Captain's License and additional marine type certifications.
Peter's charismatic personality lit up any room he entered. He was humorous, kind, compassionate, and fun to be with. A very caring man, he took pride in overextending himself to help others. He was loved by his adoring family and an abundance of friends. He will be dearly missed.
A Catholic Mass will be held on Monday, August 29th at 12:30pm at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Parish, located at 1400 South State Rd 7 North Lauderdale Florida 33068. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association in honor of Peter John Licari.
