Blanche Puffer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Blanche Puffer (Tampa, Florida), born in Owensboro, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 30, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Blanche had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Blanche may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles John Ehresman and Charlotte Strausner Ehresman; and her husband John W. Puffer III. She is survived by: her daughter Emily Puffer Strickland (Joe) of Tampa; her grandsons, Joseph and John William; her sisters-in-law, Julie Smith (Dan) and Jenny Elkins (Dale) of Lakewood Ranch, FL; and her pet Teddy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. John's Episcopal Church (906 S Orleans Ave, Tampa, FL 33606).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, the Whitefish Community Foundation, or a charity of one's choosing.
