He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Wilson Sr. and Lucille Landers Wilson; and his siblings, Eva Lee Campbell, Adlean Collier, Verna Mae Nickles, James Wilson and Mildred Ladue.

He is survived by: his sons, Michael Barrett (Jennifer) and Charles Wilson (Carrie); his grandchildren, Marco, Sidney, Kai and Kash; his sister Mattie Simpson; and his niece Arlissia "Lisa" Burns Williams. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
