He was predeceased by: his parents, Mangree Sookchan and Ramrattan Sookchan; and his friend Priam Dhanraj (Pearl). He is survived by: his wife Shanta Cumari Devi Sukhnandan; his daughters, Kathy (Anita) and Anita Ramrattan; his grandson Damian Paul; his great grandchild Yazi Paul; his sisters, Ghourie, Kala and Muda; his sons, Kumal Singh (family: Omesh Dhaness) and Sona Sukhnandan; his mother-in-law Phulmatee Sukhnandan (Betty); his friends, Balo Sukhdeo (Bibi (Bowgee) and Kumar Ramsarup (Baby); Christopher. He is also survived by many cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
