He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Martin and Sara Belle Etter Martin; his wives, Virginia H. Reeder Martin, Martha Martin and Jane Martin; his grandson Christopher Luke Martin; and his siblings, Elmer Martin, Clarence Martin, David Martin and Rachael Shatzer.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Glunt (Wayne) of Spartanburg, SC and Luke Martin (Chrystal); his grandchildren, Toshia Stephens, Tyler Glunt, Christian Martin and Chloe Martin; his great grandchildren, Azia Stephens and DaeShawn Stephens; and his sister Sara Jane Laughman of Chambersburg.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to charity of choice.
