Egerton Anderson Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on January 25, 2026, Egerton Anderson (Tampa, Florida) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sister Elaine M. Cummings (Joseph); his mother-in-law Leah Rickett; and his brother-in-law Wilton Rickett (Kenlyn). He is survived by: his wife Joy Anderson; his children, Dwayne (Shelly), Derwin Anderson (Jacquelyn) and Donette Evans (Fred); his grandchildren, Sebastian, Symone, Shiloh and Sheridan Anderson; his siblings-in-law, Cyreline Chisholm and Esmond Rickett (Katherine); his godchildren, Tony Paul and Deetra Smalls (Roy); and his nieces and nephews, Winona, Wanda Chisholm, Gillian Long (Sherwin), Germein Rickett, Victoria Chisholm, Gilbert Rickett (LaToya), Gavin Rickett, Cheneniah, Wilton Jr. Rickett and Owen Chisholm. He is also survived by extended family, many adopted children.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Egerton Anderson to the Guyanese Cultural Network of Tampa Bay (https://www.gcntb.org) - a 501c3 tax exempt organization that was near and dear to his heart.
