He is survived by: his father Grady Lee; his sons, Gerry Gilbert II (Linda) and Grady Gilbert (Holly); his grandchildren, Andrea Drakeford, Jarod Gilbert, Shawn Gilbert, Amber Gilbert and Grady Gilbert; and his great grandchildren, Kennedy Ann Gilbert, Branson Drakeford and Cali Drakeford.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513).
