He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Burgner and Carl Burgner; and his wife Kathryn Burgner. He is survived by: his son Gregory Burgner (Sarah); his siblings, Lori Testino (Bob), Tina Myles (John) and Mark Burgner (Debra); his siblings' children, Erika Olivero, Alexis Gargis, Jennifer Stovall (Chris), Rick Menendez, Matthew Burgner (Aleena) and Andrew Burgner (Georgina); and his caregiver Kayla. He is also survived by several great nieces, nephews, extended family.
