Nelson (Weiland); his children, Bill Nelson, Joan Williams (Ozzie) and Peter Nelson (Sarina); his grandchildren, Josiah and Jozel Williams; his brothers, Horace Nelson and Jimmy Nelson (Deborah); and his aunt Naomi. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Florida Mortuary Funeral and Cremation Service (4601 N Nebraska Ave, Tampa, FL 33603). The military honors will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513).
