It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Patrick Shay (Tampa, Florida), who passed away on April 1, 2024, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Shay and Helen Shay; and his brother-in-law Jesse Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Michael Shay (Connie Valdes), Christi Shay, Nancy Smith (Ronald), Patricia Smith and Mary Cook (Baird); and his nieces and nephews, Charity, Katie, Tim, Lydia, Billy, Mary, Cynthia, Anthony, Patrick, Jesse II, Richard, Jonathan, Lillian, Becca, Cory and Drew.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or American Diabetes Association.
