He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Butts; his children, Ithaca, Charles and Deana Butts; his grandchildren, Justin, Joshua Williams and Luciana Butts; his great grandchildren, Josiah and Jeremiah Williams; his siblings, James, Marvin Butts (Dhalma) and Anne Butts; his sister-in-law Virginia Butts; his friends, William Chennault, Arnold Elston (Geraldine), Ruthie Sampson (Doug), Jimmy Smith (Alice), Gwen Lawton and Patricia Harrelson-Ali; and his goddaughters, AshleyBingham Jones and Helen Coaston. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
