He is survived by: his children, Jason Blatt-Prevatt (Sarah), Sue Szymborski (Tony) and Julie Frey; his grandchildren, Logan Blatt-Prevatt (Phoebe), Gabriella Harwood (Luke), Sarah Ramirez (Ty), Leah Szymborski, Mandy Sneed (Alex), Alex Frey, Colin Frey and Allison Frey; his great grandchildren, Luca Blatt-Prevatt, Violet Harwood, Sunny Harwood, Jason Ramirez and Cayden Ramirez; his girlfriend RoseMary Riley; and his cousins, Jeanne Merwin, Dottie Scruggs (Joe) and Penny White. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
His contributions to the martial arts were recognized nationally through his induction into multiple prestigious organizations, including the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame and the Action Martial Arts Magazine Hall of Honors.
