With solemn reverence, we commemorate Kay Carter of Tampa, Florida, born in Tipton, Tennessee, whose life came to an end on March 27, 2026 at the age of 83, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Kay may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Kay touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dupree Lavelle and Rosie Lavelle; her siblings, Larry, Tim Lavelle and Carol Carlton; and her daughter Sandi Perry Monserrat.
She is survived by: her children, Jackie Kennon (Brad), Rhonda Carter Higgs (Jeff) and Rodney Carter (Tammi). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Kay's daughter, Sandi, that passed away in 2015 from ovarian cancer.
