It is with sadness that the passing of Layne Douglas Rowland of Tampa, Florida is shared. Layne, born on May 11, 1957, passed away on July 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Layne will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Layne by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Layne is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Layne’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his father Seymour; and his brother Lawrence. He is survived by: his fiancé Shannon; his brothers, Gary and Scott; and his close friend Carol. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Kinder Children's Cancer Center run by UT MD Anderson and Texas Children's Hospital.
