He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former wife Betty Black; his children, Leonard Black Jr., Barbara Black Entine and Patricia Black Dunmire; his granddaughter Michelle Entine; his wife Myriam E. Sanchez Black; his siblings, Geraldine Black Parkman and Melvin Black; and his parents, Oza Black and Maude Long Black. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Leonard was a devoted member and Elder of the Chapel in the Pines Presbyterian Church in Tampa where he had led the church food bank for many years helping to feed local families and donate to the Metropolitan Ministries.
