She was predeceased by: her husband Mitchell Walters; her parents, Lloyd Hugh Smith and Mary Susan Graves Smith; and her siblings, Junior Smith, Mahdeen Cagle Franks and Virginia Smith Monday.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Walters (Beverly), Mitchell "Mitch" Walters (Cathy), Susan "Susie" Munroe, Jeffrey "Jeff" Walters, Sr. (Karen), Melissa "Missy" Sima (Michael) and Leanetta "Lea" Harlow (Brian). She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
