He is survived by: his children, Debbie Robles (Angel), Melvin Davis, Jr. (Kim), Micka Davis (Chris), Sandra Daniel (Brandon), Marion Mitchell (Andre), Barry Davis, Barron Davis and Kevin Hodge; his siblings, Mary Evelyn Johnson, Glenora Godlock (William) and David Bostick; his brother-in-law Elder Willie Williams; his goddaughters, Danielle White and Gabrielle Thurman; and his friends, Eddie Thurman and Charity Baker. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
