He was predeceased by: his parent Sri Sowkur Laxman Shetty; his wife Lila Shetty; and his mother Day. He is survived by: his son Dr. Sarvotham Shetty; his daughter-in-law Malavika; his daughter Nina Shetty; his son-in-law Debasis Saha; and his grandchildren, Ethan, Rohan, Avant, Ishaan and Sajal.
