He was predeceased by: his wife Lela Goodin; his son Chris Goodin; his grandson Erik Hartzell; and his stepsons, Paul Dodd and Mark Dodd.

He is survived by: his brother Michael Goodin; his children, Kim Hartzell (Jeff), Jeff Goodin (Sandra) and David Goodin; and his stepson Jerry Dodd (Jane). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
