Though Shirley may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Shirley touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, H. E. Murphy and Doris Colee Murphy; and her husband Gordon "Chris" Christie. She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy Church (Larry) of South Carolina, Debra Mohr (Howard) of Florida and Doris Justice (Bill) of Tennessee; and her cousin Ann Stone. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren, and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.
