With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Carter (Tampa, Florida), born in Naylor, Georgia, who passed away on June 2, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Carter and Estella Roberts Carter; his daughter Jean H. Carter; his wife Larvell Hall Carter; and his siblings, Willie Carter, Jr., Johnny Salph, Charlie Carter, Leo Carter and Rosetta Mathis.
He is survived by: his sister Vertie Oxford; his aunt Mable Arnold; his sisters-in-law, Ernestine Carter, Evelyn Carter and Lavern Riley; his granddaughter Shannon Legrand-Range (Marcel); and his caregiver Derricka Starks. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Aikens Funeral Home (2708 E Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Tampa, FL 33610). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
