He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Davis Ritter and Urel Ritter, Sr.; and his daughter Jacqueline Ritter Ormond. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Middleton Ritter; his children, Rosalind R. Ritter, Gwendolyn P. Ritter-Randolph (Gerald), Urel Ritter, III (Debbie) and Termall D. Ritter; his grandsons, Jarryd and Jacob Randolph; and his sister Hazeline Perry. He is also survived by sisters- and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
