He is survived by: his children, Ahmad Young, Rhonda Michelle Freeman (Andrew) and Terah "Hunnie Bunnie" Young; his grandchildren, Ashaun Young and C. J. Freeman; his siblings, Albert Young (Mary), Earlene Young Hollis and Locester Young Presha; and his stepdaughter Rekesia Williams (Hilton). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Aikens Funeral Home (2708 E Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Tampa, FL 33610). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Highland M. B. Church (3410 E North St, Tampa, FL 33610). A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Florida National Cemetery.
