It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph William Smith III of Tarpon Springs, Florida, born in Nashville, Tennessee, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his former life partner Connie Smith (Cuadra); and his parents, Joseph W. Smith Sr. and Jessie Smith (Saltzman). He is survived by : his sons, Roger Smith (Lisa Barkow) of Orlando, FL and Richard Raymond-Smith (Laura) of Kent, Ohio; his grandchildren, Spencer, Kyra and Reece Raymond Smith; his wife Mariet Smith (Ollander); his stepsons, James, Eric, Michael and Jimmy; and his stepgrandson Jimmy.

He donated his time with the Knights of Columbus (3rd degree) and as a devoted usher in the Catholic Church.
