She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Schaehrer and Helen Schaehrer. She is survived by: her boyfriend Michael Gerber; her boyfriend's daughter Amanda; her sister Judith Schaehrer Andriesse (Paul); her nephews, Jeffrey Andriesse (Nicole) and Mark Andriesse (Angela); her friends, Sue Kilmer and Jan Flora; and also Jeff Carter.
At Barbara's request, burial services will be private at the cemetery in Red Hook, NY, and memorial contributions may be made to Best Friends Animal Society at https://www.bestfriends.org..
