He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Hudson and Ruth Hudson (Murphy); his sons, Mark Hudson and Paul Hudson; his siblings, Merle Levinsky, Lloyd Hudson and Carl Hudson; and his grandson Samuel Morgan.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hudson; his children, Sharyn Hudson and Robert Hudson Jr. (Elizabeth); his sister Bonita Martin; and his stepsons, Michael Waite (Claudia), Jim Waite (Donna), Allen Waite (Shamayne), Joel Waite (Mary Jo) and Jason Waite (Renee). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Select Specialty Hospital in The Villages.
