He was predeceased by : his parents, Allen Elijah Smith and Mina Belle Bess. He is survived by : his wife Clara Barton Hillis; his children, Chris Smith (April), Tony Smith (Heather) and Cindy Stuve; his grandchildren, Mary Cody, Christin Nigbur (Phillip), Chris Smith Jr. (Kristen), Charlie Stuve Jr., Carys Stuve and Jackson Smith; and his great great grandchild Allen Dale Smith. He is also survived by nephews and nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces, relatives and friends.
