He was predeceased by: his parents, June Metzger (Quinn) and Joseph Martin Metzger; and his sister Joan Metzger. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Metzger; his son Michael Metzger; his daughter-in-law Sharon Metzger of Boxborough, Massachusetts; his daughter Jill Ray; his son-in-law David Ray of Arlington, Virginia; his sister Kathy Dilts; his brother-in-law Joseph Dilts of Wilmington, Delaware.; and his grandsons, Benjamin, Christopher, Ethan and Sean.

A public celebration of life, with RSVP requested will be held in Tequesta on August 23.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blood Cancer United, Treasure Coast Hospice or a charity of your choice.
