He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sherman Ballard and Anna Mae Nelson; his wife Anna of Titusville; his children, Maria Rosaria Sparling (Kevin) of Warrenton, VA, James Douglas Nelson (Vicki) of Titusville and Charles Donald Nelson II (Tasha) of Manassas, VA.; and his grandchildren, Alex, Blake, Cami, Chloe, Dylan, Finn, Iain, Jack, Mandy and Octavia. He was also cherished by two great-grandchildren.
