He was predeceased by: his parents, Aime Lessard and Jeanne Lessard (Fournier); and his sisters, Dolly Megans and Claire Carty. He is survived by: his wife Susan Lessard (Devan); his children, Tracy Dettmer, Kristie Wisbey, Jessica DiMauro and Robert Lessard Jr.; and his sister Terry Gravel. He is also survived by grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
