He was predeceased by: his parents, Burnis McConnell and Willie McConnell; his siblings, Jackie Thacker, Danny McConnell and Peggy Quesenberry; and his grandson Derek McConnell.
He is survived by: his wife Janice McConnell; his siblings, Dairs, Freddie, Ricky and Betty Brooks; his children, Keith McConnell (Sherry) of Chiefland Fl, Kevin McConnell (Stephanie) of Kingsport and Kimberly Larkins (Chad) of Johnson City, TN.; his grandchildren, Michael, Ryan, Sean and Kellina; and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Logan.
