He was predeceased by: his father Ruel Halter; his wife Joanne Perkins Halter; his mother Fairy Halter Wilkerson; his brother Ricky Halter; and his stepfather Cleve Wilkerson.
He is survived by: his children, Alisha Kage (Phillip) and Joey Halter (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Joey, Reese Halter, Lilah and Rowan Kage; his siblings, David Halter (Cherry) and Patricia Williams of Huntingdon; and his siblings' children, Aaron Halter and Faith Canavan (Wayne) of Dunmore, Pennsylvania..
