He was predeceased by: his wife Mertie Lane Mills; and his siblings, Perry, Mart, Joseph, Vinson, Warren, Wesley of Palatka, Carl of Cross City, Frank, Mitchell and Ruby Gaskins of Gainesville.
He is survived by: his children, Beverly Hernandez (Simión) and Scott Mills (Melissa); his grandchildren, Whitney Thomas (Chantz) and Sam Mills; and his brother Ray Mills of St. Augustine.
