He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeffey Hawthorne and Nettie Hawthorne; and his siblings, Pete, Tommy, Ned, Hamp, Roy, Jack Hawthorne, Lura Mae Gibson and Evelyn Bittinger.
He is survived by: his children, Greg Hawthorne of Umatilla, FL, Tammie Henry (Rick) of Umatilla, FL and Molly Howard (Kevin) of Grand Island, FL; his grandchildren, Linsey Henry Hawkins, Derek Henry, Amy Taylor Breedlove, Chelsey Henry Fiducia, Zac Taylor, Kayla Hawthorne Gibson and Bryson Hawthorne; and his nephew Allan Hawthorne. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
