He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Hudgens and Helen Hudgens; and his brother Lawrence Hudgens (Larry). He is survived by: his wife Carol L Hudgens; his children, Jacquelyn Hernandez (Ben) and Curtis Thomas (Alina); his grandchildren, Christopher Hernandez and Alyssa Thomas; and his sisters-in-law, Marcella Hudgens, Mattie Williams and Judith Nemeth (John). He is also survived by eight nieces and eight nephews.
