He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Schommer and Elizabeth Sherer Schommer; his brother William Schommer; and his grandson James Schommer. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Schabo; his sons, Patrick Schommer (Jennifer) of California and Ryan Schommer (Diane) of Florida; and his sisters, Gail Mielke (Jerry) and Susan Rohloff. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; three great grandsons, and many nieces and nephews.
