He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Robert Hill and Earthel Hill; his wife Cheryl Humphrey Hill; and his siblings, Deward Hill, Jewel Lee Hill and Opaline Bunn.

He is survived by: his children, Tammy Tobler (Jeff) of Galax, VA and Kevin Hill (Missy) of Venice, FL; his grandchildren, Nick Tobler, Makayla Tobler, Kinsey Hill, Brody Hill and Brent Hill; and his siblings, Dearl Hill, Don Hill, Ralph Hill, Berlie Hill and Maxine Hall. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
