She was predeceased by: her parents, Nila Marie and James F. Marlin; her sister Wendy Shaff; and her niece Holly Nalepa. She is survived by: her children, Joshua Rangel (Megan) and Jamie Augustine (Tony); her grandchildren, Joshua, Jackson Rangel, Nila and Rosie Augustine; her siblings, Jim Marlin (Kathy), Sheila Shaff, Cheryl Irons (Bob) and Amy Mathey; her nieces, Karastin Nalepa, Heather Walker, Ashley Shaff and Nicole Hooper; and her nephew Hiram Shaff.
