He was predeceased by: his parents, Pasquale Laurino and Adelicia Laurino (Carleo); his brothers, Frank and Onofrio; and his daughter Marie Sanborn.

He is survived by: his wife Arline Laurino (Anderson); his sister Adelaide Knowles; his children, Pasquale (John Komasa), Carl (Jerilyn), Jimmy (Diane), Michael (Trinity) and Catherine Ketler (Tim Kennedy); and his grandchildren, Chase (Trent Sanborn), Nick, Alexa and HaliMae (Olivia Laurino). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in James name to the American Cancer Society.
