He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Knapke and Helen Knapke (Furst); his wife Edith M. Knapke; and his sister Jean Coffman. He is survived by: his daughter Mary L. Severe; his granddaughter Debra Mathews (Sam); and his great grandchildren, Kevin Mathews, Taraisa Williams (Ronny), Taryn Bingham (Kevin) and Kyle Mathews (Alecea). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
