It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Russell Powers in Venice, Florida, born in Chester, Illinois, who passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell C. Powers and Dorothy T. Powers. He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise Schoendienst; his children, Mike (Libby), Bob (Kathleen), Mark (Terri), Karen (Kay Conrad) and Kathy McVay (Mike); and his grandchildren, Allison, Jon, Mat, Mitchell, Brianne, Jessica, Becca, Kelli and John.
