She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank E. Sherin and Ellen Sherin; her husband Nicholas Joseph Zauner; and her brother Pete Sherin. She is survived by: her children, Thomas J. Zauner (Bobbi Jo), John F. Zauner (Leslie), James N. Zauner (Julia), Mary Beth Faroudi (Raymond) and Peter T. Zauner (Tracey). She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kays-Ponger, Uselton & Lemon Bay Funeral Homes (1935 S Tamiami Trl, Venice, FL 34293). A family service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Katherine's memory may make a memorial contribution to Our Lady Catholic Church, Venice, Florida.
